How to Proceed E-Wallet Payment When Facing Error

When transacting using e-wallet, you can still accept e-wallet payments when your internet connection is temporarily unavailable. This flow replaces the automatic refund system that will require your cashier to do the confirmation about the payment result on your customer’s mobile phone.

This flow provides two options: complete the payment process when your device went offline by checking if the customer's e-wallet balance has been successfully deducted; and changing the payment method in the middle of the payment process. 

Note: This improvement is currently available only for OVO, GoPay, DANA and requires Moka version: 

  • Moka POS Android v. 14.8 
  • Moka POS IOS v. 25.3

Here are the two possible scenarios where this flow helps completing your transaction at ease: 

Scenario A: Moka Application Went Offline When a Transaction Occurred 

  • This connection problem page will appear once experience internet connection issues. Please wait for 5 seconds while the Moka app is trying to reconnect.

  • If the app fails to reconnect, please confirm with your customer about the result of the payment status.

If the app remains offline, you can choose 2 options with this new transaction flow: Mark Transaction as Complete or Change Payment Method

 

Option 1: Mark Transaction as Complete 

  1. Once your customer verified and proved their payment receipt on their mobile phone, click Mark Transaction as Complete.

    Note: Please confirm with your customer about the result of the transaction to avoid the risk of charging twice or any risk involving payment.

  2. Click Yes, Complete Transaction.

  3. You will be directed to the Receipt page. 

  4. Click Print Receipt if your customer wanted the receipt.

  5. If your customer does not want the receipt, click No, Thank You.

Option 2: Change Payment Method 

  1. If your customer’s e-wallet transaction has not been processed and decided to pay using another payment method, click Change Payment Method

    Note: Please confirm with your customer about the result of the transaction to avoid the risk of charging twice or any risk involving payment.

  2. Click Yes, Change Anyway. You will be directed to the Payment Method page where you can choose which payment method your customer want to complete the transaction.

  • On the Activity page, Moka app will record all transactions processed by this option as pending transaction.

  • Only successful transactions will be updated on the Activity page when the app is back online. If the status is successful, the pending status will be removed.

Scenario B: Moka App Internet Connection is Online and Stable, but Experience Continuous Load Screen 

  • This transaction timeout page will appear if the e-wallet payment process takes too long to complete.

    When this page appear, you can choose 2 options with this new transaction flow: Mark Transaction as Complete or Change Payment Method

Option 1: Mark Transaction as Complete
